Authorities searching for Grand Meadow man after reports of property damagelove car

Local authorities are searching for a man with Grand Meadow and Austin addresses after reports of property damage Tuesday evening around the City of Grand Meadow and at Grand Meadow Schools.

Mower County Chief Deputy Sheriff Mark May reported that a resident of Grand Meadow that lives at 316 4th Street Northeast contacted authorities at approximately 7 a.m. Wednesday morning to report tire tracks running through her front yard and that a yard fence at her residence had also been damaged by the vehicle.  She went on to tell a deputy that she noticed tire tracks running through other yards on her block, and soon after taking the report, the deputy received a call from the Grand Meadow Schools to report numerous instances of damage done to their property by a vehicle, including backing into large overhead garage doors and driving through the school yard.

May went on to report that through observing video surveillance from the school, deputies were able to identify the vehicle involved and its driver, 24-year old Christopher Greenwood of Grand Meadow and Austin who was seen nude outside his vehicle on the video surveillance cameras before getting back in the vehicle and driving away.  May stated that authorities are still searching for Greenwood, as although he is facing pending charges from the incidents Tuesday night, they are very concerned about his safety and well-being.

He added that there is no damage estimate available at this time stemming from the various incidents, and if you know of Greenwood’s whereabouts, you are urged to call the Mower County Sheriff’s Department at 437-9400.
